Our team provides professional medication management services to support safe and effective use of prescribed treatments. This includes educating clients on the purpose and proper use of each medication, as well as organizing and setting up pillboxes on a biweekly basis to promote accurate and timely adherence. Understanding what medications are for—and why timing matters—empowers clients to take a more active role in their care and helps prevent missed doses, drug interactions, and potential complications. We are also happy to provide teaching on insulin administration through our support program tailored for those living with diabetes.

We provide clinical support designed to supplement your established hospice provider’s care. We offer comfort and assistance to patients and families during this time. For example, we can schedule visits to provide hands on care, medication administration, and promote a calm and soothing environment in between your Hospice provider visits. In the final days and hours some family members may not be comfortable administering medications or providing some aspects of personal care for their loved ones. We understand. We are prepared and can collaborate with your hospice team.

Yes, absolutely. At Solid Foundations RN Care, we specialize in providing compassionate care for individuals with cognitive, developmental, or behavioral challenges, including dementia. To ensure a safe and supportive experience, we do require that a family member or responsible caregiver be present during the visit. This helps us to accurately review medical history, address specific needs, and provide comfort and reassurance to your loved one throughout the appointment.
-
Yes, appointments can often be arranged for individuals residing in long-term care facilities. However, each facility has its own policies regarding outside providers. We recommend checking with the facility's administration or nursing staff in advance to ensure external services are permitted. Solid Foundations RN Care is happy to coordinate with the facility as needed to ensure a smooth, compliant visit that prioritizes your loved one’s care and comfort.

Home health services are essential and typically covered by insurance, but they’re designed for short-term support that ends once specific medical criteria are met. Visits may be brief, and continued care isn't always an option once goals are reached even when ongoing needs remain.
Private caregiver services also play an important role by offering companionship and help with daily tasks. However, they are not licensed to provide medical insight or skilled nursing care such as reviewing medications, managing symptoms, filling pill planners, or trimming diabetic toenails.
That’s where we come in.
Solid Foundations RN Care bridges the gap with licensed, experienced nurse-led care that goes beyond basic support. We offer knowledgeable, compassionate services tailored to your health needs right in your home, on your schedule, with the time and attention you deserve.Choose us when you want care that’s not only helpful, but clinically informed and personally delivered.

Whether you are newly diagnosed or having been living with diabetes for years, managing it well is essential.
People with diabetes are at higher risk for health complications due to reduced circulation, neuropathy (nerve damage), and delayed healing. Even minor issues—such as calluses, thickened nails, or small wounds—can potentially progress to serious complications if not addressed promptly.
Our recovery care services help you establish a safe and effective routine at home, with clear guidance on managing your diagnosis, symptoms, and medications.
We also offer medical grade nail care provided by a Registered Nurse certified in foot care, who is trained in the specific needs of diabetic clients. We focus on early detection of potential issues, safe nail and skin care practices, and proactive education to help prevent complications. Routine care by a medically trained professional plays a vital role in maintaining foot health, promoting self-management, and reducing the risk of hospitalization.

In Texas, licensed nail salons generally cannot work on clients with suspected nail fungus or athlete’s foot. Our Foot Care Certified Registered Nurse can. At Solid Foundations RN Care, our nail care is performed by an RN with clinical experience in safely addressing foot health concerns. Our focus is on hygiene, prevention, and overall foot wellness, not aesthetics. We come to you. This is especially beneficial for those with mobility challenges or conditions that require extra care.
We encourage everyone to research and choose the provider best suited to their needs. We will always advocate for your health and safety above all else.
We understand and respect the relaxation and cosmetic benefits a traditional pedicure can offer. Nail technicians are skilled in beautifying and pampering the feet, and some pursue additional training to work with high-risk populations.
However, for some seniors and individuals with health conditions such as diabetes, poor circulation, or fragile skin, a standard salon pedicure may carry increased risks including infection or injury.
If possible, please remove nail polish prior to appointment so we can properly assess the condition of your nail plate for its characteristics and the nail bed for signs of healthy circulation and possible abnormalities.
We do not polish nails.

Podiatrists are medical doctors who specialize in diagnosing and treating foot and ankle conditions. They may also offer routine foot care services, such as nail trimming, which can be billed through insurance or directly to the patient.
We travel to you. Our clinically informed nail care service is performed by a Foot Care Certified RN. This session is a focused assessment designed to promote safety, comfort, hygiene, and overall wellness. While we do not diagnose medical or treat conditions, our registered nurses will promptly refer you to a podiatrist or physician if they identify any concerns beyond their scope of practice. We strive to be a convenient and trusted resource for ongoing foot health within the community. -

These solutions are specifically designed to eliminate bacteria, viruses, and fungi, including those that pose a greater risk to immunocompromised individuals and those with chronic conditions like diabetes.
